Henry Ide
Henry Ide, born in Niagara County, New York,
in 1854, where he lived until fourteen years of age, when his parents moved to
Mattawan, Van Buren County, Michigan, where he was brought up on a farm.
In 1872 he went to Bronson, where he engaged in engineering and was employed in
the mills of Reynolds & Williams, and Crawford & McClellan.
He arrived in Kingsley in April 1884, where he
was employed in engineering. Henry married Alice Catton on 15 July 1881.
His father, W. S. Ide, resides in Petoskey, Michigan, where he owns farming and
village lands. W.S., is also a land owner in Kingsley.
